Amber Morth Accepted in to Genetik

Amber Morth a seventeen year old student from Oakdale, CT, was recently accepted in to Genetik – the Tribe’s academy of the arts and evangelism in Manchester, England. Amber auditioned via Skype this past November in front of Tom and to several course leaders in the UK. “I was really nervous,” Amber reflects of the audition. “I didn’t think I was going to make it!”

Amber will leave for England in the fall of 2012. Until then, she will be a Musicianary-in-Training with f2fmi. In the new year, she will be learning about England, saving money from working at her part time job and raising additional support for her year abroad. Watch this space for more on Amber in the upcoming months!

deliberatePeople Nights 2 & 3

Phil Joel has been a massive blessing to small churches here in Eastern Connecticut. Day 2 of the deliberatePeople tour was at Conard High School (Calvary Fellowship) in West Hartford. In another intimate setting, Phil was able to speak in to the lives of young families. Even in a small settings, the Lord was faithful to call young people to himself and we saw one person give their heart to Jesus for the first time!

On Day 3 of the tour starting Sunday morning, Phil played at two services at Calvary Chapel of SE CT and rocked the house. In the evening, friends of f2fmi came out and were honored at the concert: our street team leaders from Overtime and our banquet hosts and sponsors. It was a powerful way to end the tour and the year. CT locals were excited to have the personal interaction with Phil.

Night 1 of the deliberatePeople tour with Phil Joel (formerly of the Newsboys) and f2fmi’s Tom Miyashiro was amazing! It was an evening of intimate worship with Phil and entertainment for the whole family. “North Stonington doesn’t often have the opportunity to see acts like Phil Joel come through,” said Miyashiro. “The congregation was blessed by the opportunity to interact with Phil up close and personal.”

The first night of the tour was used as follow up to this year’s Overtime event last month. Several students came and several more made decisions for Christ (ten stayed after for the post-event follow up meeting). Join us tonight in West Hartford for night 2 with Phil and Tom and special guests, “The U.N.I.T.E.D.”

Join us as we ask him the tough questions as he prepares to hit center stage at this year’s event on 11-11-11. Highlighting a Dire Issue with our Youth!!!

This week we will be speaking about an epidemic that has silently wrecked many young people’s lives – Bulimia. Mission and Music’s special guest, D’Arcy P., will be sharing from her own experiences from her battle with Bulimia, and the damage it has done in and through her life. As most eating disorders are private and sometimes difficult to diagnose, many young people suffer in silence, even those within the church. Mission and Music Radio will be bringing this disease into the light in hopes that awareness and healing may come into the lives of our listeners this Friday.
